Alabama reportedly finalizes 2013 schedule with home game against Colorado State
Colorado State athletics director Jack Graham reportedly announced the Alabama game Friday night at a CSU Ram Club event in Chicago.
The game will be played on Sept. 21, 2013 at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
It will be the first game between the two schools, and it will match Alabama coach Nick Saban against his former offensive coordinator, Jim McElwain, who now is Colorado State’s head coach.
Negotiations between the two schools was reported last month by the Denver post.
That report said a two-year agreement was being discussed, with a 2015 game also part of the talks. Colorado State would receive roughly $1 million for each game, according to that report.
There is no word now about the payout or the possibility of a 2015 game.
McElwain finished his first season at Colorado State with a 4-8 record.
