Projected depth chart

First group: Alex Leatherwood, Emil Ekiyor, Chris Owens, Matt Womack, Jedrick Wills

Backups: Scott Lashley, Deonte Brown, Kendall Randolph, Evan Neal, Pierce Quick, Hunter Brannon, Amari Kight, Tommy Brown, Tanner Bowles

What we like

This group has a great mix of talent and experience. They struggled at times during A-Day, but a case can be made that Alabama has one of the best defensive fronts the offensive line will see all season. Alex Leatherwood, Matt Womack and Jedrick Wills have played in and started a lot of games during their time at Alabama. With Jonah Williams gone, Leatherwood gets his shot at the left tackle spot after playing guard last season. Leatherwood is big, mean and physical. Leatherwood could be a first-round pick after the season if he plays well.

Wills was banged up during spring, but he’ll be ready to go for the fall. Wills had a solid sophomore season at right tackle protecting Tua Tagovailoa’s blind side. After starting in 2017, a foot injury moved Womack to the bench at the start of 2018, but with some shuffling, Womack is back on the starting line.
